[It's a nice offer. Mogget is always accepting of food.
Not long after this, Razor will be able to spot a small white cat bouncing through the grass in his direction. The bell on his collar jingles softly while he moves and it lightly taps against the green pendant hanging beside it. Without knowing precisely where Razor was he had been able to track the young man down by his scent.]
[ Razor extends a hand towards the cat, and offering to come join him. There's plenty of space, and Mogget is welcome to join him by sitting next to him, or crawling up onto the young man. He doesn't seem like he'd mind either way. He has a small set up he has with his recently cooked meat and a couple of fresh fruits set off to the side. The fire has been put out for a little bit now, no need to keep it going when the air isn't too cool for him, and he doesn't want to hurt the area he loves to stay. ]
[Between Razor's scent and the familiar smells of a camp and a fire, he hadn't been able to miss him. The cat's steps speed up just a little as he clears the last of the distance between them and he butts up gently underneath the hand behind held out to him, purring immediately.
He hasn't always been so openly affectionate towards the boy and still always maintains that he is certainly not a cat, but he also definitely acts like one.]
[ He's more than happy to accept any sort of affection from the cat. He doesn't know that he understands what Mogget is, so Razor keeps it simple with him. Treat him like a friend. Treat him like someone he trusts. And treat him like someone who has been kind to him. He moves his fingers over the head of the purring cat. ]
[He does sit down next to the boy, leaning just a little of his weight against the side of Razor's leg. It's a pleasant feeling, to actually like someone enough to want to spend time with them like this... even if it might only be a temporary arrangement.
Mogget has learned not to expect too much.]
Have you heard about people here going to sleep, and then waking up with memories of home that they didn't have before?
[ Whether or not he fully understands what happened? It's a totally different story. He sets his hand gently on Mogget's head as the other leans against him. He doesn't move at all, just lets his eyes shift and linger onto his smaller friend. ]
[He settles comfortably next to Razor's leg, falling silent for a moment before he shifts down into a loaf position and tucks his paws in beneath his chest.]
Razor... you know that I am not really a cat, don't you.
[Mogget is sure that Razor knows this, as much as he is sure that Razor does not actually care one way or the other as long as Mogget is nice to him. It's easy to be nice to Razor - such a simple, uncomplicated boy with no ulterior motives.]
[ So he doesn't understand. Not really anyway. He doesn't know what Mogget is, but if he says he is not really a cat, then Razor believes him, even in this form. If one day Mogget were to tell him he is a cat, Razor would believe him then, too.
For now, he knows only that the other is good to him. ]
[Of course it's so simple. Mogget's ears flick back for a moment, a conflict of emotion setting his fur to bristling, then he blinks slowly and shuffles his weight a little.]
Then I'm going to tell you something that you might not understand, but I want to tell you. [Why, he doesn't elaborate on... but Razor has become important to him, so he gets to hear it first.]
